Dedicated to our First Squadron Commander
   

Lt Colonel Lewis Dayton was our first Squadron Commander. It is through his leadership that the squadron grew during its early years.

Lt Colonel Dayton dedicated many years of his life to the Civil Air Patrol and the Nellis Senior Squadron.
 
This plaque to Lt Colonel Dayton is attached to a large stone under a tree dedicated in his name. As the tree grows it symbolizes Lt Colonel Daytons' efforts to help the Civil Air Patrol and the Nellis Squadron grow.

The tree and plaque are located at Nellis Air Force Base in Freedom Park near the Stealth F-117.
